Hewlett-Packard's acquisition of Comdisco's "Availability Solutions" (read: disaster recovery) businesses will change many business relationships in Asia. Hewlett-Packard would instantly become the biggest Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning company in the world. SunGard, however, has just expressed an interest in acquiring Comdisco's technology assets. We shall have to wait and see.
