Number 2 U.S. bank JP Morgan Chase has started a multi-year process to consolidate Morgan and Chase recovery facilities in 16 countries in Asia.  Regional BC Manager Henry Ee Seow Keong is managing the process from Singapore.  DR vendors including
HP, SGRS and SCS are eagerly chasing any outsourcing contracts which may result from the process.

Australia’s Brambles Industries, corporate parent of Singapore’s record management company CISCO Recall, announced its merger with GKN of the U.K.  The new company will have dual listing in the UK and Oz.

We recently learned of the Fire Protection Association of Malaysia (FPAM), a non-profit group started in 1976 to reduce risk of losses due to fire. Members are mostly from insurance companies, and meet monthly in Kuala Lumpur.

Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC), a French bank with Asia offices in Republic Plaza in Singapore, finalized its recovery requirements and selected HP’s Business Resumption Services centre in Jurong for its DR facility.  Forbes Calamity Prevention (FCP) assisted CIC in the preparation of its BCP.
